Chatgpt will now think of you when you sleep.
A new function in the AI system, which is referred to as the “pulse”, will work overnight to find new information tailored to users.
It is an attempt to be a chatt to be proactive and start conversations and answer users.
Information on users is used, e.g. B. previous chats and feedback on you as well as data from connected apps such as a calendar. Users can give their feedback on the information collected by Pulse, which help to curate what proposes them.

Chatgpt emphasized that the function was not intended to encourage people, continue to scroll or ensure that they stay in the app. Therefore, the updates will only be available for the day, unless they are saved, it is said.
At the moment, the function is only available in the Plus subscription of Chatgpt, which requires a fee.
The function could continue to develop in the future and will change if users interact with it, said Openai. However, it also indicated that it could represent a completely new way of using chatt.
“Pulse is the first step towards a new paradigm for interaction with AI,” said the company.
“By combining conversations, memory and networked apps, Chatgpt changes from answering questions to a proactive assistant who works in their name. In the course of time, we introduce ourselves to AI systems that can research, plan and take help -based on their direction -so that progress occurs, even if they do not ask.”
The move could also offer a place for Openai to show advertisements within Chatgpt. At the moment, the company has no way of earning money with free users of the app, although the high costs for the use of the service are used. However, reports have proposed to consider advertisements as a potential way to increase sales on the platform.
